Watching the birds for even a few moments is a deeply mindful experience.
The birds have one goal: be birds.
Doesn't that sound refreshingly straightforward? Taking a break from your own thoughts or daily routine to look outside and follow a bird's progress as it hops along a branch or forages for a tasty seed is a grounding reminder that the natural world is reliably going about it's business.
Today, tomorrow and whatever the weather.
Each design in the birbles collection is depicted using the natural colour palette of each bird's plumage or habitat, reflecting the harmony of nature and the bird's place within it. Every colour has it's place and it's usefulness; for careful camouflage or dazzling display.
The birds featured in the birbles collection are meticulously illustrated by Rachael Dunstan in a disarmingly simple style. Rachael started by illustrating her regular feathered friends seen peering into the window from the bird feeder and is working her way further afield across farmland birds, shy heath and grassland birds, noisy urban flocks and coastal birds wheeling on the wind.
